From Global Peace to Inner Peace
From high-functioning hectic life to collapse and slow healing

My name is Jaana. I have made my own journey from civil servant to mind-body healer. A passion to make the world a more peaceful place was driving my university education and career for over 20 years, but the sudden collapse of my health due to covid booster and infection in early 2022 meant a long pause in professional life – and a fresh start, although for a long time it felt like end of everything.

A few years passed as bed and home bound with severe ME/CFS and long covid with dysautonomia, migraines and fever as well chronic fatigue and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Yet every day, I promised myself that if I ever get better, I devote time and energy to helping other chronically ill or stressed and really everyone to take care of their health wellbeing.
In hindsight, I had probably been in survival physiology and overdrive ever since my traumatic birth and first months in an incubator, without realizing it. Years later, mold exposure and other factors set the stage for my COVID-induced collapse.

From holding it all together
to learning to let go.

This chronic stress and hypervigilance – body’s fight or flight state – reached a whole new level when I lost in overnight my health, freedom, independence, identity and income, ability to exercise or even walk, as well as strength to talk, write, socialize and take care of myself. In a society that did not recognize my illness in any way. All this contributed to the lack of trust in my body and life in general, which just added to insecurity and pre-verbal traumas that I was unaware of at that point.

Fortunately, thanks to perseverance in searching for answers and after many trials and errors, I have been progressively able to understand human body more and reintegrate back to life – this time bringing passion for peace from international and European level to safety at individual (nervous system) level. The wellness in individual lives is very well projected to the well being of families, communities and humankind, I feel.

My anchors and mottoes
Breaking open instead of breaking down.

I am a life-long learner always looking for opportunities to learn more and deepen my understanding of the human mind and body as well as the impact of stress, trauma and unprocessed emotions into our nervous system and health.
I am passionate about sharing things that have helped me in my healing journey – notably somatics including nervous system regulation, stress release, tension and trauma release, and anxiety relief as well as inner work, which focuses on your different parts.
This so called Internal Family Systems Theory (IFS) is a transformative tool that conceives of every human being as a system of protective and wounded inner parts led by a core Self.
When you understand the underlying needs of your parts, you can become whole, without needing to resort to different types of survival patterns or copying strategies from dissociation and fawning to perfectionism, over-achieving, over- exercising or emotional eating, just to name a few.
In other words, I offer you:

-
Regulation over reaction
-
Intuition over ignorance
-
Peace over pushing
-
Embodiment over escape
