Our bodies have the natural ability to adapt to our environment and handle stressful events, so stress as such is not harmful. Yet in modern times the stressors are very different than they used to be over history. This non-stop flow of bigger and smaller stressors causes a constant stress response physiology – fight or flight nervous system state – not allowing our bodies to return to restoration and thriving.

In similar manner, if there is not enough time, space or resources to discharge, we end up staying stuck in stress activation, which is detrimental to our health, leading easily to burn out, fatigue, sleeping and memory difficulties, anxiety, low mood, poor immunity, tension and chronic pain.

With Somatic Stress Release™ tools, you can learn to complete the stress response cycle allowing your nervous system to return to parasympathetic rest and digest state and your body to homeostasis. When you release suppressed emotions and stored stress, you liberate yourself from the charge they have for your heath and well-being.

​What Happens in a Somatic Stress Release™ Session?
We let your body lead the way. We listen. Together, we return to its innate wisdom.

​

It depends on you and your needs and what we co-create! We may focus on nervous system reset, emotional processing, or discharging stress and tension from your body with the help of somatic tools, like movement, sound, fascia release techniques, or guided imagery. We may also work to enhance resilience, emotional regulation and boundary-setting. Fully restorative sessions are also an option.
​

Sessions usually happen via Zoom video connection. All you need is a quiet space where family members or devices don’t disturb you and comfortable clothing for movement or rest. Pajamas are welcome if you plan to sleep afterwards.

​

Please bring a pillow, blanket, a pen and paper. Some props like massage or tennis balls and resistance bands can help, but showing up is enough – your body can do this with its innate wisdom in right guidance!


This body-based work is trauma-informed and adaptable for any limitations. Everything is invitational and optional, based on your comfort, capacity and energy levels – you decide what wants and needs to happen.
